Limpopo songstress Makhadzi had a few things to clarify about rumours of a split between her and boyfriend Master KG.
Makhadzi clears the air on Master KG breakup rumours
On Saturday, Sunday World sent social media into an uproar when the publication claimed Makhadzi and Master KG had called it quits for the second time since 2020.
The claims were not supported by reputable sources from figures close to both artists. In fact, the publication made the blanket allegation and, quite bizarrely, called for “another Limpopo power couple!”
These unverified reports reached the African Queen, who wasted no time in setting the record straight on her Facebook page.
“Fake news! Please stop lying. Vhafunani hanefho!” she exclaimed.
Makhadzi and Master KG sparked controversy in 2020 when the couple announced their breakup, citing professional circumstances as the reason behind the amicable split.
“Me and Makhadzi parted ways months ago to focus on our careers. We are still young and we still need to achieve big things. (We) hope everyone understands and respects that. I am no longer going to answer anything related to this. Thanks,” Master KG said at the time.
However, things quickly heated up earlier this year when, in a social media post, the couple revealed they’d rekindled their romance, with Makhadzi going as far as referring to Master KG as her ‘soulmate’.
“Besides being my soulmate, you are one of the most humble artist I have ever met,” Makhadzi wrote in a birthday tribute to her man.
