Yanga Chief is ready to take his ascension in South Africa’s music industry to the next level with the announcement of a follow-up project titled Pop Star.
Yanga Chief announces brand new project: Here’s what we know
The Vth Season rapper dropped the official cover art to the project on Tuesday evening, which shows the face of an ominous-looking Yanga clad in a MaXhosa balaclava.
The image was captioned with the proposed release date of the project which is slated for Friday 27 November 2020.
Since Becoming A Pop Star was an EP, it is not stated what format this sequel will be packaged in. Is it Yanga’s debut album? That question will be answered on Friday 16 October 2020 when he drops his brand new single, the title of which is unknown at this time.
AKA is dropping Bhovamania in the same month
The news of Yanga’s forthcoming sequel comes just a week after his label colleague AKA revealed that not only is his album done and ready for consumption, but that it has a release date scheduled.
According to SupaMega, his fourth studio album Bhovamania will come out on Friday 6 November 2020, three weeks earlier than Yanga.
It seems that November has been earmarked as the month Vth Season takes over the South African music market, right in time for the festive season.
