Nandi Madida took to her Instagram, on Sunday, to verify details of a story that was published on Sunday World, about a court summons she has forwarded to renowned marketing agent Amaru Da Costa.
Who is Amaru Da Costa?
Also known as Thamsanqa Fakazi, the founder of ADE Holdings, a marketing and PR agency with offices in Sandton, Johannesburg, is not immune to controversy.
In February 2019, PR guru and founder of Azania Public, Bonnie Meslane, revealed in a series of tweets that she was allegedly sexually assaulted by Da Costa. Even worse, the case was never pursued by the police since, in their view, she had no evidence.
After a mounted effort by influential friends of Meslane to expose the alleged rape on social media, things died down and her trauma was forgotten about.
Nandi Madida details contents of lawsuit
Madida is the latest woman to come forward with issues against the ADE Holdings founder. Instead, the Organic star chose to pursue her grievances in a court of law.
“I can confirm a summons has been sent this week from my legal team to an agent who worked on the LUX campaign for Unilever, Thamsanqa Fakazi (known as Amaru Da Costa) from ADE Holdings who is not my manager and has never been,” Madida wrote.
From what we understand, Da Costa may have recruited Madida to lead as the brand ambassador of a LUX campaign that has since been discontinued.
Madida claims that the controversial PR agent is holding onto outstanding monies owed to her, a total which has not been revealed due to “the sensitive nature of the case.”
She did, however, claim that Unilever confirmed that “all amounts due and payable in terms of the contract have been made to the agent for their LUX campaign.”
Our attempts to reach Da Costa for comment were unsuccessful.
