Black Coffee has joined the band of artists who have used their talents to entertain the world from the comfort of their homes in these trying times.
Self-isolation: Social distancing enforced worldwide
All we hear, day in and out, is how the highly contagious coronavirus COVID-19 is impacting everyday life.
Businesses have been forced to limit operations and, in worse cases, shut down operations due to strict social distancing protocols.
The world’s economy is tinkering at an all-time low and as government’s struggle to contain the spread of coronavirus, people stuck at home have had to find some normalcy to being confined in one space all day, every day.
For the introverts and hermits, this is life at its peak, are you kidding?
How people are entertaining themselves in quarantine
For those who are socially inclined, the buzzing socialites and influencers, however, every day at home is a gruelling test one takes a day at a time.
Netflix tossed in an added feature which allows users to host watch parties through a Google Chrome extension.
This cool feature provided a much-needed virtual connection to others but again, nothing beats a chill session with a few quarantine mates and some gin and tonic.
Thankfully, we live in a caring world. Leading musicians and other entertainers have gifted us with their talents, free of charge, to keep the world sane in these moments of indefinite uncertainty.
Black Coffee, a week after his elegantly celebrated 44th birthday, has stepped forward to host a home concert.
The DJ announced on social media that on Friday 20 March, fans would be able to tune in to an intimate live stream “to keep spirits high at this incredibly tough time for the world.”
Tune in: Black Coffee intimate live stream
The intimate live stream will be broadcast to New York at 13:00 EST, Barcelona at 18:00 (GMT+1) and in Johannesburg at 19:00 CAT.
For those in Mzansi, the live stream video has been embedded below. Let’s all let the vibrations Black Coffee will deliver lift us out of these uncertain times. In the DJ’s own words, “music unites.”
