If anyone still holds up a candle in hope that one day, AKA and Cassper Nyovest will be buddies can go right ahead and blow that shit out because it is never going to happen.
Is the business of beef good for Cassper Nyovest?
Too much has been said and done for things to ever be mended between the two. However, with every subtweet and cryptic jab from Cassper Nyovest, it seems AKA’s low tolerance for the Motswako rapper can be justified.
After all, it is Nyovest who is constantly endorsing the beef. The first shot always comes from his end, unprovoked.
We don’t condone the disrespect AKA exhibited when he berated Nyovest’s parents on social media, using derogatory words to describe his utter hate for the self-proclaimed ‘Mufasa’.
However, one can understand where all that hatred comes from. But, Nyovest is a businessman and he will tell you right now that the beef between him and one of the bigger musicians in South Africa has always been commercially beneficial for him, so why stop?
Nyovest digs at AKA’s business acumen
A case-in-point is the series of subtweets Nyovest dished out shortly after AKA revealed that he allegedly did not receive a dime from the sales and residual income garnered by the Reebok ‘SupaMega’ SneAKA.
The Fela In Versace star opened up to his fans about how he was conned into selling thousands of sneakers for Reebok in exchange for a retainer fee and free merch.
He conceded that this was a lifelong dream of his — having his own sneaker — and he took a farse contract to realise it when the opportunity came.

It was only a matter of time before Nyovest chimed in from a distance with his own two cents about being smart in the music business. First, he retweeted a post he shared in 2018 which was quite evidently a shot at AKA.
Then, he went ahead and turned AKA’s plight into his own conviction, stating that one day people will recognise his great business acumen. Literally, nobody was talking about it.
These light jabs have not doused the flames coming after Reebok, though. Social media has since drummed up a #ReebokMustFall hashtag in support of Supamega getting conned out of a lucrative deal that only benefitted the brand. Here are some of the tweets we picked out:
