Songstress Kelly Khumalo has been dragged into the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, and according to her lawyer, she is more than ready to take the stand in a bid to clear her name, once and for all.
Will Kelly Khumalo testify at Senzo Meyiwa trial?
In an interview with eNCA, Advocate Magdalene Moonsamy who, at the start of the trial was dismissed from the court for possible interference, charged at Advocate Malesela Teffo for dragging her client into the case.
Earlier this week, Teffo sent shockwaves across social media when he claimed there is a witness who will testify that it was Khumalo who pulled the trigger by mistake, in that Vosloorus home, on Sunday, 24 October 2014.
The murder weapon, Teffo added, was allegedly smuggled into the home of Khumalo’s mom, Gladys, by Longwe Twala, the son of the legendary music producer, Chicco.
Fans speculated this witness was Khumalo’s sister, Zandie, based on a cryptic caption she’d posted on Instagram around the same time Teffo made those startling allegations in court.
Khumalo, Moonsamy revealed, has had enough of the attacks lodged against her in the Meyiwa murder case. The self-proclaimed Voice of Africa is ready to speak and “if she is required to be present in court then she will be.”
“”If the prosecution requires her as a witness in court, she is a witness in the matter and she is being compliant and cooperative in the matter,” Moonsamy said.
The case of Meyiwa continues to unfold at the Pretoria High Court, where Advocate Teffo has failed, on numerous occasions, to have the trial halted due to what he terms as a constitutional injustice his clients, accused 1,2,3 and 4, endured since they were charged.
