Murder Inc. founder Irv Gotti is the next guest on the popular Drink Champs podcast and in a recently released teaser, the legendary Hip-Hop producer made startling admissions about his former artist, Ashanti.
What did Irv Gotti say about Ashanti?
On Thursday, 4 August 2022, fans will get an up-close-and-personal encounter with Gotti and Ja Rule, who are both guests on N.O.R.E and DJ EFN’s popular Hip-Hop podcast.
The anticipation building around the episode is centred on comments Gotti made about Ashanti.
In fact, the Murder Inc. founder not only further perpetuated his claim that he and Ashanti had a sexual relationship, but he also admitted that he was in love with the songstress around the time she was rumoured to be romantically involved with St Louis rap icon Nelly.
“I could get past you wanting to be with Nelly. Listen, at the time, it happens… any man is hurt. The chick that you f****** are in love with is with this n****,” he said.
Gotti who, at the time was married to his ex-wife Deb Lorenzo, went on to recall the moment he found out about Ashanti’s relationship with Nelly.
“I was at home… Listen to this s***. This was God wanting me to find out. Was at home… NBA package. I like watching sports. My God, what’s this commotion going on in the stadium? We just found out what the commotion is. Nelly has walked in with Ashanti,” Gotti shared.

Ashanti, who’s been on vacation in the Turks and Caicos islands with her mystery suitor, has not made public statements in response to Gotti’s latest name-drop, but this is not the first time her name’s been dragged into a relationship mess by her former mentor.
In 2019, during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, Gotti admitted to having a sexual relationship with Ashanti, claims the songstress has vehemently denied.
