Faith Nketsi-Njilo may face punitive measures for leaking a journalist’s cellphone number on her social media account.
Who did Faith Nketsi-Njilo harass?
City Press journalist, Julia Madibogo, may have been forced to change her cellphone number after it was posted by the reality TV star on Instagram.
On Easter Sunday, the newspaper had published a story, bylined by Madibogo, about rumours concerning Nketsi-Njilo’s pregnancy. The journo had made the effort to seek comment from the reality TV star about the speculation via WhatsApp but a response was not returned by the time she was due to turn the story in for printing.
In a statement published on social media, addressing the pregnancy rumours, Nketsi-Njilo posted a screenshot of the WhatsApp text messages she received from Madibogo, and failed to crop out the journo’s cellphone number.
Whether this was intentional or not, will be the court’s determination when the matter gets registered on a roll.
“The following Monday, around 9am, I started receiving calls from tons of foreign numbers I did not know. I quickly checked Instagram and saw that she posted my cellphone number to her 2.4 million followers and that is why I got those calls.
“She left my number on her Instagram account for the whole day,” Madibogo revealed.
The matter has been filed at the Midland police station and an investigator will be assigned to lead the inquest. Nketsi-Njilo, who recently tied the knot to her hubby Nzuzo, has yet to address the harassment complaint.
It seems, the reality TV star is less bothered about the consequences that lie ahead, and more interested in appeasing her man.
