In a statement that ruptured the local entertainment community, DJ Double D accused rapper Da LES of assault.
Why is DJ Double D accusing Da LES?
The renowned jockey took to social media, on Monday, to report that he has filed a case of assault against the Elon Musk rapper.
“It is with deep sadness to state that I was indeed an unfortunate victim of assault from Leslie Mampe JR, commonly known as Da ;ES and that I have since opened a case with the South African Police Service (SAPS) against the culprit, which I am following with keen interest,” the DJ wrote.
At this time, it is unclear what prompted the public breakup between the two artists who are renowned for working together on events. DJ Double D was also Da LES’ jockey at live performances.
Whatever happened between the pair took place in the midst of this long weekend and neither DJ Double D nor Da LES has come forward with more details on the assault claims.

“I do not wish to comment on this matter further. I respectfully request some space as I try to find a way to heal both physically and emotionally from this traumatic experience. I have complete faith in our criminal justice system and wish to get the matter resolved,” Double D wrote.
