Demond George, the father from Texas who went viral on social media for posting pictures of his 33 children, released an official response to the backlash.
Father of 33 children goes on rant after backlash
George was the subject of furore on the internet when, on Tuesday, he posted a photo album with pictures of him and 24 children. In the caption, George explained that nine other children of his were not part of the shoot, taking the grand total of his kids to 33.
In the photo album, George was pictured with his 13 sons and 11 daughters, all of whom share different mothers.
What was, in George’s view, supposed to be a celebration of his paternal commitment to his litter, turned into outrage, with commenters, mostly women, accusing the man of perpetuating, much like Nick Cannon who has eight children, the stigma of broken families in black communities.
Extremely selfish. It is not humanly possible to meet the needs of this many children, even if they were all under the same roof. This is my gripe with Nick Cannon and all these egotistical losers who will inevitably leave behind a legacy of neglected children. Disgusting! 😡🙄 https://t.co/0UhcRp84wI

This is irresponsible all around. It is irresponsible on his part, because there is no way he can be active in all his children’s lives and it irresponsible of these children’s mother to even get pregnant by this man. https://t.co/QqlPqKc34k

Exhibit A on why men really should be on birth control vs women. https://t.co/5w8AZ93cJI

Suffice it to say, the backlash left a bitter taste in George’s mouth, who had this to say to naysayers:
