Amapiano producer Busta 929 is catching a lot of flak on social media after images surfaced showing the 30-something-year-old kissing a teenage girl.
UPDATE: Slik Talk weighs in on Busta 929 teen saga
Here is the video clip recently uploaded by Slik Talk, where he claims, at this point, Busta is “throwing rocks at the penitentiary begging to get in.”
Is Busta 929 the R Kelly of Mzansi?
It’s unclear when these images were taken but the sight of Busta getting cosy with high school girls left fans outraged.
What Busta 929 is doing with young girls is concerning. He is another R Kelly that is using young girls and promising them record deals. This will be his downfall. pic.twitter.com/85EjOALQSz— Advovolicious (@advovolicious) February 20, 2022
The girl in the images, Onika Cetyiwe, is from Queenstown, Eastern Cape. While some have speculated about her age, commenters who claim to know the teen maintain that she is at least 18 years old.

If this is, indeed, true, then Busta would not be flouting statutory laws. However, by virtue of his recent past with girls that are almost twice as young as he is, fans were far from comfortable seeing the producer getting steamy with a girl born between 2003 and 2004.
This is the second public outrage Busta has faced over his affinity for high school girls.
In June 2021, fans were outraged when images leaked showing girls believed to be underaged hanging out with the producer at his apartment, dressed in nothing but a towel and consuming alcohol.
Of course, Busta denied the fact that the girls consumed alcohol in his presence, albeit a video clip was leaked showing the contrary. At the time, the producer’s team claimed one of the girls had “expressed interest in doing music with Busta 929.”
“It is for this reason that we took her and her friends home with us. The oversight on our part was to not ensure that they had informed the parents of their whereabouts at the time,” Busta’s statement read, after it was discovered that the girls’ families had reported them missing.
