Amapiano producer Busta 929 has vehemently denied any wrongdoing in the fact that he was spotted hanging out with underage girls who — by the way — were being sought by police as missing persons.
Busta 929 stresses underage girls were not drinking alcohol
Popular celebrity gossip microblogger Hot N Served leaked a video clip that showed Busta 929 smoking hookah and dancing with two girls of questionable age.

in the video clip, a fully dressed girl could be seen dancing with a drink mixture in her hand, while her friend, wearing nothing but a bra and a towel, was seen talking in the producer’s ear.
The person who was recording the fun time, presumably the third underage girl, showed off her near-empty glass that held the same mixture. Then, shortly before the clip cuts off, the camera panned to the table where an open bottle of Hennessy, tonic water and ice were seen inside a bucket.
Now, according to Busta 929, not only was the context of what’s shown in the clip widely misplaced, but none of the underage girls consumed alcohol in his presence.
“No underage drinking took place. The alcoholic drinks that were there were being consumed by the adults who were present,” the statement released by Public Eye Media, on behalf of the producer, read.
Amapiano producer says girls were recruited for music
The events shown in the clip, Busta confirmed, took place on Saturday 12 June, a day after the girls’ respective families filed missing persons cases with police.
According to the producer, he and his entourage, which includes his manager, friend and his girlfriend, were travelling back from an event when they came across the underage girls.
“One of the young ladies expressed interest in doing music with Busta 929. It is for this reason that we took her and her friends home with us,” he claimed.
The girls stayed at the producer’s apartment for two days. According to Busta, this entire time was spent recording music. This, the statement added, explains why one of the girls, believed to be 14 years old, was seen wearing nothing but a bra and a towel.
“The oversight on our part was to not ensure that they had informed the parents of their whereabouts at the time. For this, my team and I sincerely apologise,” the producer said.
At this time, it remains unclear if the producer will be facing any charges. According to the PR company that issued the statement, the girls’ parents were “consulted on the contents of this release.”
