“Everybody is going to know who I am after I f*** Boity [Thulo] up,” were the words that escaped Bujy Bikwa’s inebriated mouth the night he allegedly smashed an alcoholic bottle onto the rapstress’ face.

An audio recording leaked by The Citizen in an exclusive sheds more light into what prompted the bout of fisticuffs that erupted out of a Midrand kickback last week Thursday.

In the recording, Bikwa, a radio-caster, was heard in a drunken quarrel with a number of females that have not yet been identified. Certain voices in the room were heard trying to de-escalate the situation that was brewing between Bikwa and Thulo.

The Def Jam artist would be heard towards the end of ‘part one’ of the leak, berating Bikwa as a nobody. The latter, it’s believed, was in defence of assertions Bikwa may have made about Thulo’s spirituality.

On part two of the leak, Thulo could be heard pushing her nails deeper into Bikwa’s wounded ego, who, we believe, was being talked out of blind rage.

The rapper’s constant jabs at Bikwa’s ego culminated into a moment of weakness for the radio jockey, who is said to have launched an alcoholic bottle towards Thulo’s face.

Days after the incident, Thulo released a statement confirming the incident has now morphed into a physical assault case.

“It is with deep sadness to state that I was, indeed, an unfortunate victim of a vicious physical assault and that I have since opened a case against the culprit, which I am following with a keen interest… I have all the faith in our justice system and implore everyone to stand firmly against GBV (gender-based violence),” the statement read.

Before the audio recording was leaked, no one truly understood the severity of the incident. However, shockwaves erupted across social media when not only the audio leak surfaced, but an image showing Boity drenched in blood popped up out of nowhere.

It’s unclear at this stage if Thulo’s injuries required surgery but we understand that the rapper was quickly rushed to the hospital that evening.

Bikwa has not surfaced on social media for days. At this time, the broadcaster has made no attempt to release a statement on the matter. Here are some reactions from social media commenters on the trending topic:
