Keamogetswe ‘QV’ Motlhale was a force to be reckoned with on this season of Big Brother Mzansi (BBMzansi). However, in a shocking twist, the 24-year-old from Mahikeng left fans gob-smacked when she announced her decision to voluntarily leave the mansion.
BBMzansi: Here’s why QV chose to leave the mansion
Making it to the final 18 that is selected to compete for the BBMzansi prize money is no simple feat. The rigorous testing and psychological evaluations are just some of the hurdles that QV overcame on her journey to the Big Brother mansion.
However, in just three days, it was all a bit too much for the Marketing Communications graduate.
Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at Multichoice, confirmed the news in a statement.
“Keamogetswe Motlhale, one of the Big Brother Mzansi season 3 Housemates (known as ‘QV’), has taken the decision to leave the Big Brother House for personal reasons. QV has bid farewell to her fellow housemates and has also expressed her gratitude to the production team for the opportunity to be in the House,” the statement read.
The channel added that following her exit from BBMzansi, QV will be transitioned back to the outside world with the assistance of a psychologist.
QV’s decision to leave has left fans with unanswered questions. Why exactly did she leave? Well, the shocker came a day after QV and her housemates participated in the weekly wager challenge, where they had to depict their life stories in an art form.
It was then that QV revealed that as a six-year-old child, she was sexually assaulted multiple times, a trauma that had laid dormant in her mind all these years, until now.
“We wish her all the best on her journey, and she has our full support,” Adonisi said.
