Andile Mxakaza, husband of Amapiano artist Lady Du, surfaced on social media to address reports of their break-up.
Andile Mxakaza responds to break up news
In a short video, Mxakaza makes it clear that, despite the negative comments and allegations made against him, he and Duduzile Ngwenya are in an amicable and ‘transitional’ process.
However, the Isibaya actor made no direct response to claims made by his estranged wife that he was a serial cheater. In her statement, Lady Du opened up about the decision the couple made to ‘follow their hearts’ “before things went south.”
“I’ve had numerous attacks from people I didn’t even know, people making me uncomfortable because of culture, people attacking my character, scratching my cars. So I decided it’s best I follow my heart and leave my relationship,” she wrote.
According to Mxakaza, though, the break up is nothing more than a phase in their marriage and, despite the negative backlash he’s received, he maintains things between him and Lady Du are still very much amicable, contrary to what the public may believe.
