What we know about Will Smith’s new movie
Will Smith is to take centre stage alongside Ben Foster and Charmaine Bingwa in the upcoming movie, Emancipation.
According to IMDb, the thriller is centred around a slave who runs away and makes his way through the swamps of Louisiana. Peter, played by Smith, must escape the plantation owners who tried to kill him.
The Antoine Fuqua movie is currently in post-production, and the release date is unconfirmed. The film was scheduled to premiere on Apple TV+ in 2022. However, it seems like the release date has been moved to 2023.
The Academy Award winner made his mark in Hollywood in the nineties.
After the ending of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Smith went on to star in many blockbuster films. The 53-year-old starred as the lead in many movies, such as Seven Pounds and Gemini Man. However, as much as he is a Hollywood favourite, he is also a number one producer.
Smith sat on the production board for the drama reboot of his beloved nineties TV show, Bel-Air.
The series that was released in February 2022 is available to stream on Peacock, Apple TV, as well as Showmax.
Smith may be a natural when it comes to the camera, but we did not forget about his family. From Willow to Jaden to Jada, all have some kind of superpower that they bless us with.
Smith, together with his talented family, is definitely a force to be reckoned with, and safe to say, they may just be getting started.
