American Siege: Release date and movie synopsis
Willis returns to the blockbuster screen with another action thriller that nudges at American patriarchy. In this film, the lead actor stars as Ben Watts, an ex-NYPD officer-turned-sheriff of a small Georgia town who is tasked with pulling off the impossible.
The entire premise of American Siege is centred around Watts’ attempt at rescuing a wealthy doctor held for ransom by a group of heavily armed kidnappers. However, a plot twist that takes things up a notch or two is a conundrum presented by the abductors: Solve the disappearance of a woman named Bridget Kelly and the true motive behind the kidnapping will be revealed.
American Siege is scheduled for limited release in US and EU theatres on Friday 7 January 2022.
