Zolani Mahola set to drop debut solo album
The ex-Freshlyground lead singer revealed that her first solo album since the group’s disbandment is scheduled for a March 2021 release.
To give us a taste of what to expect, Mahola teased fans with Remember Who You Are, “a call for all of us to see ourselves as an integral and perfect part of the whole of Creation.”
“[The song] further invites us to value the young, to nurture in them a sense of their intrinsic worth and value that they may grow to be whole people!” she noted.
Even more than that, Remember Who You Are was born out of her involvement with the ‘Give Her A Crown’ campaign that “is a storytelling platform using the arts to positively affect the narrative of gender equality and female empowerment in South Africa.”
