There are only two days left before South Africa goes into a fullscale lockdown and while doomsday preppers have bomb rushed grocery stores to stock up on reserves, AKA has been booed up in isolation with his college girlfriend.
Watch: AKA loving quarantine life with his young boo
In the countdown to a nationwide lockdown, the fella in Versace took to Instagram Stories to show us how he has been prepping for the three-week quarantine period.
Life in the limelight ain’t so sweet for the Mega
The Touch my Blood rapper has made headlines for all the wrong reasons recently. AKA caught flak on social media for cussing out rap rival Cassper Nyovest’s parents, calling them out for allowing the Motswako MC to drop out of school to pursue his dreams.
Following the backlash from his fans and peers, AKA resurfaced on social media with an apology, indirectly accusing Nyovest of pushing him too far over the edge with his apparent subliminal shots.
Nyovest, however, scoffed off the apology and it seems very likely that this is will be one of those rap rivalries that’ll never be squashed.
This is all interesting but the entertainment realm has more pertinent issues to address, like the impending nationwide lockdown. On Monday evening, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that in response to the rapid spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) the government has moved to implement a lockdown for 21 days, starting at 23:59 Thursday 26 March.
During this time, people will not be allowed to leave their houses, unless it is for grocery store and bank visits, pharmacy runs and social grant withdrawals.
Failure to adhere to this will result in a hefty fine or, in serious circumstances, imprisonment.
