Xhosa rap keeps winning as Cape Town artists Soul T and Bravo Le Roux unite for the visuals to their joint, titled Bhuda La Way.
Bhuda La Way: A day in the life of Soul T
Soul T has seen a rapid rise in his growth as a potential Xhosa rap giant and when it was announced that the visuals for Bhuda La Way alongside fellow Xhosa rap artist, Bravo Le Roux, was announced, much hype was created.
With the visuals dropping on the 14th of March 2021, viewers got exactly what they wanted from the two creative geniuses.
The video displayed Soul T and Le Roux having fun in the streets of the Paarl townships, hanging out with their homeboys, flexing their trendy Kasi fashion gear, and of course misbehaving with the beautiful ladies.
Being directed by Soul T himself and having Motion Billy produce the visuals, they did an outstanding job at capturing the experience of being a young hopeful kid in the streets of the townships.
Is he the future of Xhosa rap?
Having been born in Durban and raised in Cape Town, Soul T had admitted in an interview with Zolani Jama that he felt he represented the Eastern Cape as he considered Queenstown his home.
Having been inspired by his older brother who was also a rapper, Soul T learned and crafted his skill of rapping from a young age.
The young rapper faced his own challenges, going to rehab, however, on his return from rehab in 2016, he decided to return to his love for hip hop going on to focus on just making music.
Going on to be part of the rap group known as Rattrap, the ambitious rapper went on to pursue a solo career after a fallout with the group.
With the grind he had been on, he finally managed to catch a break having the Xhosa rap giant Yanga Chief give him the co-sign and going further, jumping on the remix of Soul T’s hit single Idyan.
With the likes of Bravo Le Roux, Dee Koala, Yanga Chief, and many more Xhosa rap artists blowing up in the rap scene, many predict that Soul T has a bright future as a musician, especially with his musical and visual output.
