The house has surely fallen this time. Sjava, the last of the Ambitiouz Entertainment era has just announced that he and the music label have parted ways.

It is too early to say what the cause of this break-up is but based on the way things have turned out for many of the label’s artists, it was only a matter of time before Sjava, possibly their most successful signee, left the building.
Sjava took to social media to share a statement, thanking the label for all that it has done for his lucrative career. Sjava is a gentleman and one who does not like attracting bad press so we can understand the amicable tone in his announcement.
We won’t, however, be fooled into thinking that all is good in the parting.

Decoding the statement: Is hell about to break loose at Ambitiouz?
A large portion of the statement released by Sjava was written in Zulu. However, if you were looking for the gory details, you will be disappointed to know that not much was revealed about why the Uthando rapper has left the label.
While this is important, we expect to receive more updates on the intricacies of this grand exit which, by virtue of Sjava’s market value, won’t be as easy as it is painted in this statement.
More interesting, though, are the hints of discord Sjava teased in his announcement. At some point in the statement, Sjava makes mention of making sure that he dealt with his exit in a professional manner and not “take things personally”.
He notes the caution he is taking in ensuring that whatever is being dealt with behind closed doors does not spill onto the public forum and taint his future business dealings.
It is clear enough that there may be some disagreements in the way in which Sjava would like to exit his contract with Ambitiouz Entertainment. In a translated version of the statement, he says:
“I have learned that not seeing eye-to-eye in business does not mean things are not amicable on a personal level. The reason for [behind us] parting ways is known only by myself and the label for now and I hope that this process of parting will be done in a way that reflects mutual respect. That is my hope,” he writes.
It may be too early to say but one only needs to dissect this statement to know that the assertions made in it only represent the views of one party.
