We may be reading too much into a tweet — the biggest infraction in the art of speculation — but it would not be too far off the realm of possibility if it turned out that Sjava left Ambitiouz Entertainment to launch his own label with Emtee and Saudi.
Sjava maturely handles Ambitiouz exit
This trio gave us Abangani, a song that still rotates on mainstream airwaves till this day. So, the prospect of them working together after a while is exciting, to say the least.
Unlike Emtee, Sjava has quietly handled his exit from the controversial label after he made the announcement two weeks ago.
Ambitiouz failed to respond to our questions on how the intricate termination will be managed, seeing that the label discovered and shot Sjava into stardom and most probably owns a chunk of his masters and publishing.
However, the reciprocity they gave the rapper’s announcement indicates that the gloves are still on — for now.
Is the trio coming together to start a label?
Life has continued for Sjava. It’s been 18 months since he released Umqhele and fans are starved from new music but this tweet, published on Wednesday afternoon, suggests that there is new heat on the way and more importantly, we may see a reunion between Sjava, Emtee and Saudi.
Again, this is all speculative but our spidey senses are tingling they tell us something bigger than music is at play.
We will keep our ear to the ground for further movement in this story.
