Over the past few weeks, Johannesburg rapper Shane Eagle had been hyping up his anticipated single titled Ammo, teaming up with the hit-maker YoungstaCPT, and just recently, Eagle’s finally announced the scheduled release date.
When can we expect the release?
Social media users were blessed with a little excitement after the Let It Flow rapper shared the cover art for his first song in 2021 titled Ammo.
What had also been announced was the expected release date of the single being scheduled to release on the 26th of March on all streaming platforms and ready for pre-ordering.
The song is expected to feature Cape Flats rapper, YoungstaCPT who has worked his way to the top working with giant local artists and has gone on to represent the city of Cape Town at the highest level.
Many fans have been anticipating this release for quite some time, especially after Eagle’s constant teasing of him and Youngsta seeming to be shooting a music video for the track.
The 26th might still feel like a long way, however, a collaboration between the two of SA’s most talented lyricists is definitely something to look forward and we’re sure it won’t disappoint.
Shane Eagle: A year for him to return to the game?
Not to say Eagle’s had vanished from the music scene, however, the artist had been on quite a hiatus having only dropped his one single Racks Talk (Xenergy Soundtrack) in October of 2020.
Not to forget his well-praised visual album Xenergy, which released on the anniversary of his Dark Moon Flower release which was an incredible viewing experience.
However, when it came to new music, the rapper had become inactive throughout the year of 2020.
Maybe it was a result of the Covid-19 pandemic or Eagle’s just really needed a break from the release of his successful 2019 album titled Dark Moon Flower.
However, that album was released two years ago, and with things easing up in the current pandemic situation, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Eagle’s back in project mode and release a new body of work later this year.
If so, we can’t wait, however, in the meantime we’ll have to keep enjoying his past work and look forward to his Ammo track releasing soon.
