Prince Kaybee outshines Maphorisa on most streamed tracks in South Africa
Prince Kaybee may have more of the bragging rights in the debate about South Africa’s MPV artist in 2020.
Prince Kaybee gets the edge in Maphorisa beef
Both artists occupy top placements in South Africa’s music industry elites list. What makes this match-up juicier is the festering rivalry between the two, that’s played itself out in public numerous times in the past.

With every accolade each celebrates, there is an air of gloat that rubs off on the other, and it felt like this when Kaybee posted screenshots of three statistical charts on SA’s top commercial artists.
It’s not clear where these numbers were pulled from but according to Kaybee, he triumphs over DJ Maphorisa as the ‘most streamed South African album artist’ and has a better standing in ‘South Africa’s most-streamed songs’ than Amapiano’s Scorpion King.
I get so frustrated when I’m not number 1. 🥺 Its a problem for me.— PROJECT HOPE (@PrinceKaybee_SA) November 30, 2020

Maphorisa has, thus far, not given this slight shade any of his attention. It seems, the man whose name recently appeared on Time‘s Best Songs of 2020 is enjoying the last laugh in their little tiff.
