Hip-hop personality, Nota Baloyi, has another target after calling out Jazz-singer, Simphiwe Dana, for her involvement in corruption.
What does Nota have against Simphiwe Dana?
Simphiwe Dana had found herself trending all over Twitter for her controversial tweet calling out President Cyril Ramaphosa as the worst president the country has ever had.
Many people came to her aid, backing her statement of how they believe Ramaphosa had been allowing corruption to flourish, the country’s debt amounts to increase, and the cementing of black poverty.
However, popular hip-hop personality, Nota Baloyi, decided to fire back at her after he discovered an interesting revelation about the singer.
This is after a Twitter user posted to his timeline an image of Dana’s grant approval from the National Lotteries Commission granting the singer an amount of R500 000.
What seemed fishy was that the grant was registered on the 29th of November 2019, however, she somehow managed to have it approved two weeks later on the 18th of December 2019.
Nota responded to this tweet calling Dana a crook after she seems to pretend to be innocent with Nota calling her a hypocrite for her actions.
A lot of people agreed with Nota, especially with the knowledge that the grants usually take two years to at least apply before it even gets approved.
With the rumour that Dana was being investigated, Nota added fuel to the fire stating that she had only called out Cyril because she wasn’t receiving any ‘special favours’ from the administration anymore.
Nota can’t live seem to rest
By now, it seems like Nota has a problem with the whole industry, having called out someone at least every month.
He’s gone on to criticize Nasty C and A-Reece for apparently having no hits, however, he took his word back on Reece after the release of Today’s Tragedy, Tomorrow’s Memory.
He also had a feud with Slikour after Nasty clapped back at statements Nota had previously made at about the Zulu Man With Some Power album.
And just recently it came out that Nota had allegedly blocked Kwesta from his YouTube channel after they had their fallout with Nota feeling he worked too hard building Kwesta’s platform just for him to use it against him.
There are many more beefs Nota has been involved with and it’s obvious to tell he can’t live without this kind of entertainment.
