The stars are aligning for Nomzamo Mbatha and the latest blessing coming her way is a merch deal with her long-time apparel partner Puma.
Nomzamo Mbatha hints at Puma merch capsule
Mbatha has had quite the start in the new year. Already, she’s sealed herself as a ‘one-to-watch’ Hollywood starter with her big-screen debut on Coming 2 America.
The actress received rave reviews on her performance as Mirembe, a royal groomer whose responsibility is to connect Lavelle (Jermaine Fowler), the modernised long-lost son of King Akeem (Eddie Murphy), to his monarchical roots.
With the hype of her budding acting career still bubbling, Mbatha, it seems, will capitalise on that with her first merch collaboration with Puma.
No official announcements have been made, so far, by both parties. However, Mbatha has, in recent weeks, dropped easter eggs and our curiosity got the better of us. So, we picked them all up and here’s what we know:
What we know about Mbatha’s upcoming merch
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mbatha revealed that she will be launching a new Puma collection this month (March).
From what we understand, the capsule will be named ‘Shandu’, a tribute to her grandmother’s clan. No official date has been released but based on the timing of Mbatha’s tweet, it could be a matter of days, or weeks.

Currently, it’s unknown what this collection will include. All of the secrecy has made this rollout all the more intriguing.
This is a developing story.
