It seems that NaakMusiq has lost his Twitter account with more than 500 000 followers to a middle-aged Middle Eastern man who has been clogging up his timeline with quirky pictures.
Naakmusiq reveals his Twitter account was hacked
This is scary and hilarious at the same time. The famous singer-actor we all know was forced to register a new account and this is what he had to say about the hacking:
Who is Medyum Mustafa Kiliç?
The person who assumed NaakMusiq’s Twitter account refers to himself as Medyum Mustafa Kiliç. By his last name alone, we can confidently assume that he is a Turkish international.
How Kiliç managed to invade the South African musician’s Twitter account is unknown at this stage. According to the social media platform’s support centre, hacking into one’s account can only be done if:
- if you’ve entrusted your username and password to a malicious third-party application or website;
- if your Twitter account is vulnerable due to a weak password;
- if viruses or malware on your computer are collecting passwords; or
- if you’re on a compromised network.
At this point, we are to assume that the email account attached to the star’s verified account has also been compromised.
Moreover, it appears that reporting the hacked account has not helped since Kiliç has not stopped posting quirky images of himself.
Naakmusiq, it seems, is left with no other choice but to rebuild his new Twitter account and there isn’t much he can do to put an end to Kiliç’s trolling.
