Minnie Dlamini-Jones and her husband Quinton have welcomed their first child, after what’s been a pretty eventful pregnancy.
Minnie Dlamini-Jones has a baby: What’s his name?
The Homeground host took to social media, on Monday, to share a picture of the baby boy whose name is Netha Makhosini Jones.
Documenting Dlamini’s tumultuous pregnancy
Dlamini has been very open throughout her gestational journey. It didn’t start out pretty well, admittedly. In March — in her first month of pregnancy, so we’ve come to find out — it seemed that there was trouble at the Joneses.
Dlamini had told her followers that she wished to spend the first bout of the coronavirus-influenced national lockdown alone.
Whatever troubles the couple may have faced were quickly dealt with away from the prying eyes of the media.
Then, in August, at the end of her second trimester, Dlamini was thrust into social media controversy over a caption she posted about Bantu knots.
The heightened stress she must have experienced from the international backlash she received could have been the motivation behind her subsequent leave from social media and her trip to Italy.
Things have since been on the up for the 30-year-old star. A million-rand Jaguar for her birthday and a star-studded baby shower followed shortly afterwards but nothing could beat the anticipation she must have felt in the days leading up to her son’s birth.
Dlamini and her hubby are still enjoying the new addition to their family and we can’t wait to see more pics of Baby Netha.
