Menzi Ngubane dies: What’s the cause of death?
At the age of 56, Ngubane had seen and done it all. After a long-fought battle with ill health, the actor gave way to the inevitable transition on Saturday morning.
The family could only confirm the news to be true this time around and indicate that Ngubane had suffered a stroke. This unfortunate event has brought finality to a life hurdled by health complications, more than 10 years after he had undergone a kidney transplant.
Although it must be said, the family has yet to delve into greater detail on what the cause of the stroke was.
Ngubane was in talks with Samuel L Jackson on ‘a project’
Soon after the news of Ngubane’s passing was confirmed by his family, the nation went into mourning. People who have been touched by the actor’s many iconic roles — be it his role as the stylish Jerome on Gaz’lam or Sibusiso Dlomo on Generations — took to social media to send their condolences, a gesture that brought warmth to the family.

“As a family we wish to thank everyone for their continued and sustained support and the prayers for our beloved son whose battle with kidney failure & sugar diabetes had become an open secret over the years. We wish to mourn the passing of our beloved son in private and will communicate the funeral and other arrangements in due course,” said the family spokesperson Naomi Mokhele.
In January, Ngubane teased a project he was called on to contribute towards, by famed Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson, a close friend of the late 56-year-old.
