Kelly Khumalo still hasn’t recovered from being snubbed at the Crown Gospel Awards, judging by her attitude towards her nomination at next week’s KwaZulu-Natal Entertainment Awards.
Kelly Khumalo shades the KZN Entertainment Awards
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) on Tuesday 15 December 2020 and Khumalo is in the running for Best Female Artist alongside her sister Zandie, Nomcebo Zikode, Babes Wodumo, Holly Rey, Simmy, Cici, Shekinah and Zanda Zakuza.
With the prestigious trophy and a reported R100 000 up for grabs, Khumalo told fans to not “waste their money” when asked if she was attending the ceremony.

Is Khumalo not over the Gospel Awards snubbing?
The Voice of Africa‘s negative attitude towards the KZN Entertainment Awards could be linked to her recent outbursts that came when she was snubbed at the Crown Gospel Awards.
As reported by Tshisa Live, her song Esphambanweni, which features a guest appearance from Hlengiwe Mhlaba was in the running for Best Gospel Song but lost out to Canaan Nyathi’s Baba Ziveze.
This was unfathomable to Khumalo who went on a social media cross-platform rant about how she was snubbed. The video she posted on Instagram, basically shading Canaan and the awards, has since been deleted but it pretty much echoed her tweet about the whole situation.
Esphambanweni Vs Baba Ziveze? Someone please balance me? I would have been ok with Jehova uzoyigcina impilo yami or Bawo Yiba nathi bazalwane musani ukuganga ngathi

By the looks of it, it seems that at least one of the Khumalos will not be in attendance at the ICC next week Tuesday.
