The rise of Sho Madjozi to international stardom has taken another course, following her nomination at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (KCA 2020).
What is Sho Madjozi nominated for?
Coming from an eventful NBA All-Star weekend in Chicago, USA, Sho Madjozi was announced as a KCA 2020 nominee for Favourite African Star and Global Music Star.
She is one of four other stars who will contend for the African Star nomination, including singing sensation, Shekinah.
The KCA 2020 will be hosted by Chicago’s very own Chance the Rapper. The ceremony will take place on Sunday 22 March at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

How you can help her and other African nominees win
The KCA 2020 is a ceremony where the kids are in charge. Nickelodeon grants the powers of selecting a winner in most categories to the voters and since Sho Madjozi and Shekinah have listed in two categories, that is what we will focus on.
Nickelodeon allows voters to cast their ‘ballot’ at least 100 times per device, per category in a single day.
“With respect to votes made via the Website, Twitter and Nick Play app, a maximum of 100 votes in a single day per category, per device used to vote, will be recognized, votes exceeding this amount will not be accepted or counted.”

Any votes exceeding this will not be counted. Also, any votes suspected to be robotic or software-generated will be dismissed and that voter will be suspended.
Voters can cast their vote on Twitter, the Nickelodeon website and on the Nick Play app:
- Twitter: Compose a tweet featuring the following two hashtags: (i) #KCA and (ii) the applicable #vote+nominee-specific voting hashtag, as communicated by the Nickelodeon International team, via a single post on your Twitter account (as applicable) (one vote per nominee counted per post containing applicable required voting hashtags; votes via Twitter will be recognized only from Twitter accounts which are public, incorporate an avatar image, have more than 10 followers, and were created at least 24 hours prior to the time of the applicable vote post; each standard retweet of a valid vote post on Twitter will be counted as an additional vote);
- Website: Go to the webpage and select the ‘Vote’ tab (one vote counted per click);
- Nick Play app: Download the app and follow the prompts.
