TV presenter Katlego Maboe has been thrust into the spotlight after his former partner Monique Muller released a video of him admitting to cheating.
At first, it was assumed that this was a stunt, possibly accompanying a campaign for one of the brands Maboe works for.

However, it soon dawned on everyone that this was, in fact, very real. In the video, which we’ve embedded below, Muller could be heard accusing the Expresso Show host of cheating.
Even more shocking was Muller’s claim that Maboe had allegedly infected her with a sexually transmitted disease (STD) known as Human papillomavirus (HPV).
This virus is particularly dangerous since it activates cancer cells in the cervix and poses a threat to a woman’s fertility if untreated.
Maboe speaks out: Here’s what he said
In his first official statement since the scandal made waves on social media, Maboe did not deny or respond to the STD allegation.
He did, however, accept accountability for his callous actions.
“I was unfaithful to my partner during a very important time of our lives – an act I regret to this day. We are currently undergoing an unfortunate and painful separation which is being resolved through legal proceedings,” he wrote.
The OUTsurance ambassador went on to vehemently deny claims that he has been abusive to Muller. Shamed and embarrassed by the public display, Maboe confirmed that the matter now rests with their respective legal teams.
“I had chosen to deal with this matter privately to protect and safeguard our child. At the end of the day, our child is all that matters to me. However, I will leave this to the legal system and let the truth have its day,” he concluded.
Neither Expresso Show nor OUTsurance has issued a statement on their position in associating with Maboe moving forward.
