South Africa’s gospel fraternity has lost one of its liveliest worshippers after news of Israel Mosehla’s death was confirmed, on Monday.
Israel Mosehla dies: What’s the cause of death?
His wife, Millicent, confirmed the news when probed by Tshisa Live.
At this time, not much is known about the circumstances of his passing. The Mosehlas have declined numerous attempts for comment.
The family says it will issue a statement via a spokesperson soon.
Born in a family of Gospel musicians, Mosehla was destined to own his place on the big stage. The word of God and singing praise were daily events, nurtured by his parents, who were preachers and musicians.
His music career started out as one part of the five-member group G. Effect, which included his brother Isaiah. Mosehla stood out as a great promise and after years with G. Effect, he pursued his solo career where he shot into stardom.
