Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa may have to make drastic lifestyle changes after it was reported that her child support case against her estranged husband DJ Black Coffee backfired.
Is this a reality check for Enhle Mbali?
In an exclusive published by Sunday World, it’s reported that the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court dismissed Mbali’s application to pin the world-renowned House producer to a hefty monthly allowance.
In the actress’ application, she had reportedly submitted a list of demands that she wanted met. The court documents allegedly seen by the cited publication list an approximate total of R131 000 per month that Mbali expected to receive from her soon-to-be husband.
This would be the sum of her leisurely wants and child maintenance. Mbali reportedly reasoned that after years of a luxurious life in wedlock with a prominent artist and businessman who grosses an estimated R100-million a year, she deserved no less.
However, the Joburg court reportedly disagreed. On Wednesday, not only was her application dismissed, the actress will have to foot the legal bill.
Mbali, it turns out, is only reportedly entitled to a total of R15 000 in spousal maintenance and R50 000 child support.
Mbali accuses Black Coffee of paying for smear articles
Neither Coffee nor Mbali’s legal teams have released a formal statement in response to the reports. From what we have seen in the ex-couple’s recent interactions on social media, the DJ has kept a low profile, opting to spend the Sunday indoors with his five-year-old son Asante Maphumulo.
Mbali, on the other hand, was not too happy about the article. The actress shaded the headline in her Instagram Storey, suggesting that the story was all part of a payola smear campaign.
“It’s a public document. The verdict was, he looks after me and the kids, as he wasn’t,” Mbali wrote in her Storey.
