South African hip-hop icon, Emtee Da Hustler, was quick to show off his accomplishment of the 2021 album, Logan, reaching one million streams on Audiomack.
Emtee: How ‘Logan’ reached such a milestone on Audiomack
The project, which was released on the 9th of April 2021, has been the revival of Emtee’s staggering career as a successful rapper.
One million plays on any streaming platform can’t be easy, however, the talented hitmaker was able to achieve this in such a short amount of time.
It’s no surprise, with songs like Logan, Laqasha, and Long Way continuing to find it’s way onto radio waves, nightclubs, and many hip-hop fans’ playlists.
This just proves how big of a star Emtee is in the eyes of hip-hop lovers in South Africa, maintaining the rapper’s status as one of the biggest artists in South Africa.
The South African rapper could go down as one of the best to do it in the SA hip-hop world and maybe end off his career with legendary status.
From down and out to the top of the game
As many will know, Emtee in recent times has not been seeing such positivity.
The rapper had faced criticism for his lack of quality in his previous releases, especially after the release of his DIY 2 project that released in 2018.
Emtee was also continuously scrutinized for his heavy use of narcotic use, having many of his fans worried for his health.
However, it was back in late 2020, when the rapper came out and confessed he had been a victim of domestic abuse with his partner, where he claimed she would hit and bruise him.
He did get a lot of love and support from his fans, however, it was clear many had found this an amusing revelation with many going on to clown the rapper.
We don’t know the full story of what happened, with many claiming that Emtee had lied and it was all linked to his reoccurring problem with drugs.
However, with the release of his highly-anticipated Logan album, Emtee has risen back to the top of the game with many showing him the respect he feels he rightfully deserves.
