Durban rapper, Lucasraps, has teased on his social media that he might have something cooking with the United States rapper, Kaicash.
How did Lucasraps hint at the Kaicash collaboration?
Rappers tend to be more cryptic on their social media these days.
They do this to stir some hype without actually confirming anything, leaving fans speculating.
Lucasraps posted an interesting story on his Instagram.
We got an image of the Without Me rapper holding stacks of hundred rand notes and using the call filter.
At the bottom of the post, he tagged the United States rapper, Kaicash.
This might mean the two have been working together and we have our reasons to believe why this could be possible.
Why could this collaboration happen?
Lucas is signed to Bloc13, an established influencer marketing agency.
They’ve worked with models, social media stars, and now musicians are their next priority.
However, Kaicash had also recently signed to the same marketing agency as the What It Is rapper.
This would make sense why they’d be able to link up so easily and why many believe a collaboration might be on the way.
Although Kaicash isn’t one of the more recognizable rappers to come out of the United States, it’s still pleasing to see Lucas try to bridge that gap.
Are we seeing a boost in international collaborations?
The new wave of Hip-Hop has been seeing more of Mzansi’s young talents work with international artists.
Although he may have not been the first to do it, Nasty C has definitely paved the way for the newer generation.
His multiple links with international artists like ASAP Ferg, French Montana, Ari Lennox, and more have seen more SA artists work with American artists.
Just recently, A-Reece and Joey Fatts have been working on a mixtape scheduled to release soon.
Lucas is set to be the next to accomplish such an achievement in the world of Hip-Hop.
