The cloud of suspicion that has hovered over Kelly Khumalo may have affected her psyche in a negative way.
Is Kelly Khumalo starting to crack?
Years of scrutiny as a person of interest in the mysterious murder of the late Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Seno Meyiwa has forced the singer to crack and every cryptic video she posts opens a door inside her complex mind.

Now, we aren’t criminal psychologists but it can be said that Kelly Khumalo has been dealing with a bout of depression lately. She has admitted this in recent videos.
However, she has never explicitly stated what the cause of this mental strain is. Is it the anguish felt by every other artist negatively affected by the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19); or, is there something more sinister at play?
Watch: The cryptic video she posted
While her involvement in the murder of Meyiwa has always been the subject of murmurs, a video she recently posted showing her inebriated self dishing out cryptic messages in a Russian accent, has drummed up a lot of speculation.
According to Sarah Cy from Medium.com, a lot can be dissected about why sometimes, people use alter egos to reveal things they would not be comfortable with, in their own voices.

Her Russian alter ego: Is it an outlet for her to let us in?
Of course, this isn’t to suggest that Kelly Khumalo was telling us anything homicide investigators in the Meyiwa case would like to know. However, it does strike a chord of interest when someone hides behind a caricature when they open their hearts to express such emotions.
Interestingly, Cy states that:
“Your alter ego is about defining how you want to show up, and borrowing someone else’s characteristics to activate the true self.”
So, what was Khumalo trying to tell us in that video? She is clearly at odds with authorities who, we believe, are constantly watching her every movement, supposedly waiting on her to crack.
October 2020 will be the sixth anniversary of Meyiwa’s death and based on current statements from police, they are nowhere close to cracking the case.
