DJ Zinhle bags coveted award at 2020 NAMAs
As reported by Times Live, The Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) took place this week and the DJ and mother of Kairo Forbes clinched the coveted Pan African Artist of the Year award for Umlilo.
In her acceptance speech, delivered virtually, Zinhle revealed that this was, in fact, her first music award.
“I’ve actually never won an award before and this means a lot to me. On behalf of South Africa, Rethabile, Mvzzle and myself, we would like to thank you for celebrating the song with us. We love the song and we’re so glad that you love it so much that it actually won an award,” she said.
The 36-year-old beat the likes of Burna Boy, Davido, Chris Brown and Wizkid in the race for the award.
This is most definitely the best way to cap off a monumental year for the producer slash Boulevard CEO.
