DJ Sbu gets approved for Guinness world record attempt
This time, the renowned radio host and the suspected man behind Mzekezeke’s balaclava is looking to etch his initials in the Guinness Book of World Records.
DJ Sbu posted a screenshot of an email received from the world record keepers that noted the acceptance of his application for the longest marathon hosting a radio talk show (as a team).

Who is the current record-holder?
Currently, the record is held by Leila Naoul, Yassine Wada, Sirine Bahri and Bassem Sehili. The Tunisian team capped off their radio marathon on 22 March 2018 with 66 hours, six minutes and one second recorded.
“The full attempt was broadcast through Radio Web Metline,” the book of records notes.
DJ Sbu radio marathon: Here’s what we know so far
DJ Sbu and his team — which has yet to be announced — will look to place an insurmountable gap between themselves and the current record with their planned 200-hour broadcast that will run from Tuesday 15 December 2020 and Thursday 31 December 2020.
The full details of the radio marathon have yet to be announced. At this time, we can’t confirm which broadcasting station/streaming service is going to host this event.
