Popular Amapiano DJs, DJ Maphorisa and Tyler ICU, partnered up to present Amapiano lovers their EP titled Banyana, releasing just in time for the long-awaited weekend.
What to expect from Maphorisa and Tyler ICU’s ‘Banyana’?
Many fans had been anticipating this project, awaiting what Maphorisa and Tyler ICU could offer the country with the release of Banyana.
And although the project is only three songs long, they’re all enjoyable tracks that will shake up the Amapiano music scene.
The project gifts us three tracks titled Banyana, Wami, and Izolo all proving to be impressive pieces of art that hundreds of thousands of South African will enjoy grooving to.
The project also brings other talented artists for assistance, with features like Sir Trill, Mpura, Kabza De Small, Daliwonga, and Visca.
With a short run time of only 21:05, the project is a good effort from the two producers and we’re sure Mzansi will have the songs blasting throughout the weekend.
We have a feeling that the track Izolo might be the standout track from the EP, however, all the songs perform well.
Check out the project, now available on certain streaming platforms and YouTube.
Between Kabza and Maphorisa, who is the king of Amapiano?
Although frequent collaborator Kabza De Small titled his 2020 project I Am The King Of Amapiano, it’s still up for debate who the better producer is.
The two Amapiano producers have continued to consistently drop successful bodies of work getting the whole nation up on its feet and grooving throughout the nights.
The duo just recently released their 2021 project titled RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE even including the talented TRESOR to assist the DJs with the track Folasade being the standout track.
Amapiano is filled with talented producers, however, it’s always these two who seem to make the biggest impact with their long list of classic numbers.
Although it’s pretty difficult to classify which is the better DJ, we can at least appreciate the brilliant music they produce together.
