Burna Boy is the epitome of polarising. You either love him, or you don’t and in Mzansi’d books, he has redeemed himself for the verse he laid down on Jerusalema Remix..
Burna Boy reclaims glory in South Africa
Social media erupted in pandemonium when Master KG dropped the links to the remake of his smash single, featuring an appearance from Burna Boy and Nomcebo Zikode.
Before this five-minute smash, Burna Boy was not allowed passage into South Africa. There were two instances where the Nigerian star was meant to perform in the country and rescinded his participation due to protests against his inclusion.
He would tell you it was for different reasons but if you know, you know. Alas, all of that has been swept under the carpet, it seems.
Thanks to Master KG, this collaboration has, in a way, prevailed over xenophobia and once again, Africa has united under one song.
