After all the anticipation built by a well-thought-through strategy, Black Motion have finally released The Healers: Last Chapter.
Much of the excitement for the duo’s album was exacerbated by the mystique around its title. The ‘last chapter’ without context, suggests that Black Motion will be no more after this project.
It hints at the possibility of either a split or the end of a journey. The fellas, however, have shed a bit more light into the meaning behind the album title.
“In a nutshell, it’s a book. It’s everything we’ve been through so far. How we interpreted our stories—from the ‘hood to wherever we are in the world,” the duo told Apple Music.

The thickly layered story of the duo takes shape across 41 tracks on this album. The project features guest appearances from Sun-El Musician, Msaki, Bonj, DJ Maphorisa, Ami Faku and many others.
