It seems like AKA will be back to performing in front of a virtual crowd, headlining the Huawei Joburg Day event.
This’ll be his first appearance since the tragic passing of his 22-year-old fiancé, Nelli Tembe.
Huawei Joburg Day: AKA returning to the spotlight
It’s been a month since the fatal incident that saw Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes lose his fiancé in Cape Town.
However, it was revealed that AKA would be set to returning to doing live shows after he was announced as a headliner for the Huawei Joburg Day scheduled to commence on 28 May 2021.
The event is being provided by popular radio station 94.7FM and will be a virtual event that will be broadcasted on YouTube.
The Fela in Versace rapper will be headlining alongside other musicians like Mi Casa, Black Motion, Prime Circle, Goodluck, Jesse Clegg, and his ex-lover, DJ Zinhle.
However, many people will be excited to see the popular rapper return to the stage and many are intrigued to see how the performance will go down.
Has anyone heard anything yet from the rapper?
After the passing of Nelli Tembe after she fell off the tenth floor of the Pepperclub hotel, SupaMega has been quiet, taking a step back from the public.
In the beginning, all we received was a statement from the two families asking for privacy and time to heal which was completely understandable.
AKA would eventually come out, posting an official statement voicing the pain he had to go through and confirming that he would continue to allow his team to handle all his public domains and social media while he continued to mourn.
That post was a week ago and the Jealousy rapper has continued to remain silent.
