A-Reece has been on a relentless run in 2021 and on Wednesday, the Pretoria rapper pulled out his crates and gifted fans a brand new loosie titled Tuff Luck.

The timing of this drop, which features a stellar guest performance from Jay Jody, cannot be overlooked. For the most part, any Reece fan would expect the rapper to have exiled himself in solitude after Today’s Tragedy, Tomorrow’s Memory.
However, recent events in Hip-Hop may have egged Reece to come forth with Tuff Luck, a shrug towards people who hate on him.
In his own words, Reece explains that ill will is really just ‘tuff’ love and if one connects the dots, starting the trace from Priddy Ugly’s Handful of Dust, this record could be a fiery response.
Much like Priddy’s approach on his diss, Reece doesn’t make mention of whom his words are targeted towards. However, references like “he throwing dirt up on my name ‘cos he washed up” suggest that whoever these shots are meant for, is a senior to Reece.
Perhaps, it doesn’t get more direct than when the former Wrecking Crew lead claims he’s “the reason why your CD’s even up one.”
It doesn’t take much digging to make accurate assumptions about Reece’s intentions on Tuff Luck.
While it remains an unanswered Hip-Hop question, there is enough circumstantial evidence to conclude that Priddy and Reece don’t see eye-to-eye and that Pretoria may be divided by a new rap beef.

Reece released the loosie four days after he randomly tweeted that his SoundCloud needed an update.
On Wednesday, with only a few hours of the song being out, Tuff Luck has already amassed more than 23 000 streams on the indie music platform.
