Five SA hip-hop and R&B projects dropping in April

March saw some amazing releases of bodies of work like Elizee’s Couldn’t Stay The Same and A-Reece’s TTTM, so we felt it’d only be right to list our top five SA hip-hop and R&B projects releasing in April.

What are the most anticipated SA projects releasing in April?

In this list, we’ll be listing what we believe will be the most anticipated hip-hop and R&B projects to release in April by talented South African artists.

5. Sincerely Yours – Ntobeko Sishi

Not only is he a talented actor on the hit-drama show Gomora, Ntobeko Sishi is also blessed in the singing department.

With hit-singles like Either Way and IDC, R&B listeners will surely be looking forward to his next project.

The young R&B singer announced his new EP titled Sincerely Yours, filled with 7 tracks and having only one feature in Ben September.

The EP is scheduled to release on the 16th of April 2021.

4. Anti-Hero Complex – Lethabo Acid

Lethabo Acid announced his upcoming EP titled Anti-Hero Complex after the success of his hit-single Cream.

The project is reported to have an impressive 12 songs with no features on the project.

This promises to be a solid project packed with some creative and interesting hip-hop tunes coming from the talented rapper.

Anti-Hero Complex is scheduled to release on the 16th of April 2021.

3. JUICEBOX – Lordkez

The Lofi queen finally returns with the announcement of her 2021 EP titled JUICEBOX.

The project is expected to be 4 tracks long with the only feature coming from the exciting Money Badoo on the track Rice Krispies.

Her track Purple Hearts is the first release off the EP, giving her many fans a taste of what to expect from the project.

JUICEBOX is scheduled to release on the 30th of April 2021.

2. ARIES – The Big Hash

The Big Hash returns with his next project titled ARIES expected to blow the rap game.

This will be the talented rapper’s first body of work after leaving Innanetwav and going fully independent.

Unfortunately, that means we won’t be getting anymore Hash and 808x bangers, however, it’ll be interesting to see how Hash manages to do without his former associates.

Not much is known about the project yet, with Hash only revealing that it will definitely be releasing in April.

1. LOGAN – Emtee

Emtee the hustler is finally releasing his long-awaited album titled LOGAN.

We’ve already had a taste for what to expect, with Laqhasha and iThemba performing well in Mzansi.

Emtee lovers expect the rapper to return with his exciting talents in showcasing some of the best storytelling in SA hip-hop while creating his catchy hooks for his songs.

LOGAN is expected to release on the 9th of April 2021.
