Eskom published the weekend loadshedding schedule starting on Friday, which forecasts no outages.

Weekend loadshedding schedule starting Friday, 3 November 2023
Since Monday, 30 October 2023, Eskom has implemented loadshedding at Stage 2.
The state-owned utility explained that as a means of replenishing emergency reserves ahead of inclement weather conditions in most parts of South Africa this week, a pattern of heightened loadshedding would be reintroduced.
Therefore, on Friday, loadshedding will be implemented at Stage 2 between 05:00 and 16:00, and, thereafter, outages will be ramped up to Stage 3 until 05:00 the next day.

Update on breakdowns and available capacity
The last state of the power system update was on Friday, 3 November 2023. At the time, Eskom reported more than 17 507MW of generation capacity lost to breakdowns, with an additional 4 783MW offline due to several units placed out of commission for planned maintenance.
