Eskom published the weekend loadshedding schedule starting on Friday, which forecasts reduced outages.

Weekend loadshedding schedule starting Friday, 10 November 2023
Since Monday, 6 November 2023, Eskom has implemented loadshedding at a pattern of no outages during the day (05:00 – 16:00) and Stage 2 in the evenings (16:00 – 05:00 the next day).
This weekend, the loadshedding schedule is expected to remain unchanged.

Update on breakdowns and available capacity
The last state of the power system update was on Sunday, 29 October 2023. At the time, Eskom reported more than 17 507MW of generation capacity lost to breakdowns, with an additional 4 783MW offline due to several units placed out of commission for planned maintenance.
