Eskom has published an outlook of the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 4 March 2024.

Here’s the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 4 March 2024

On Sunday, Eskom confirmed the new week would kick off with a lower pattern of outages than the past week.

In a statement, the power utility confirmed loadshedding would be suspended until 16:00 on Monday, 4 March 2024, and resume at a pattern of no outages during the daytime (05:00 – 16:00) and Stage 2 in the evenings (16:00 – 05:00) “until further notice.”

The embattled national electricity provider was also bolstered by an anticipated 2 200MW of generation capacity expected to be reconnected to the grid by Wednesday, 6 March 2024.

“Eskom will communicate should any significant changes occur,” the statement read.

The last time Eskom updated the state of the power system was on Wednesday, 6 March 2024, and at the time, breakdowns amounted to:

  • 16 193MW – up 2 843MW from Sunday, 18 February 2024
  • 6 171MW – up 2 305MW from Sunday, 18 February 2024
