Eskom has published an outlook of the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 22 January 2024.

Here’s the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 22 January 2024

On Sunday, after a whirlwind of adjustments, which included a prolonged suspension of outages for the weekend, Eskom finally rested on kicking off the new week with a permanent Stage 2 loadshedding.

In a statement, the struggling utility explained that “due to lower than anticipated demand and a further slight improvement in generation capacity, loadshedding would resume at Stage 2 from 05:00 on Monday, “until further notice.”

“Eskom will continue to monitor the power system closely and communicate should any significant changes occur.,” the statement read.

As of Wednesday, 24 January 2024, breakdowns amounted to:

  • 13 250MW – down 1 644MW from Wednesday, 17 January 2024
  • 7 921MW – down 415MW from Wednesday, 17 January 2024
