Eskom has published an outlook of the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 11 March 2024.

Here’s the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 11 March 2024

On Sunday, Eskom confirmed the new week would kick off with a lower pattern of outages than the past week.

In a statement, the power utility confirmed loadshedding would be suspended until 16:00 on Monday, 11 March 2024, and resume at a pattern of no outages during the daytime (05:00 – 16:00) and Stage 2 in the evenings (16:00 – 05:00) “until further notice.”

The embattled national electricity provider was also bolstered by an anticipated 3 300MW of generation capacity expected to be reconnected to the grid by Wednesday, 13 March 2024.

“Eskom will communicate should any significant changes occur,” the statement read.

The last time Eskom updated the state of the power system was on Tuesday, 12 March 2024, and at the time, breakdowns amounted to:

  • 15 611MW – down 582MW from Wednesday, 6 March 2024
  • 5 487MW – down 684MW from Wednesday, 6 March 2024
